I would love a day just to myself, to do what I want, when I want, even if that is just to stay in my pjs all day and eat ice cream!
A day without having to prepare ANY meals is also great (which is what I DID get for Mother's Day this year).

This was my FIRST Mother's Day, and while I was quite disappointed earlier this week knowing my husband had to work on Sunday, I was quite surprised to really really enjoy my Sunday alone with my 4 month old daughter. My day started with a beautiful sunny blue sky, and we stayed in bed/crib until 9:30am. I strapped her on my front carrier after her morning feed and we walked to Tim Horton's. It was such a gorgeous day out and it was the first time she was in the front carrier - I enjoyed watching her look around taking all the sights and sounds in, as opposed to being in her car-seat in the stroller with no where to look but UP. After our Timmy's stop, when we got home, I spent the whole day with her playing - pure quality one-on-one time. I decided on no exersaucer, no jumperoo, no swing, and Isabella would just have me for entertainment. Because of her, it was that I got to experience my FIRST mother's day and it was the best first Mother's Day I could have ever had. I wouldn't have had it any other way.

My first Mother's day was the best it could have been. My baby slept in until 9:30am which is very rare! My boyfriend got up with her and they made me pancakes in bed (He never cooks so I was a little afraid of how they would taste) Then they headed off to the basement so I could shower and read my new book. After he made us lunch and put her down for a nap we went outside and blew some bubbles and played in the grass. We spent tons of time playing on the floor of the living room together, it was tons of fun! My boyfriend made me supper and then gave the baby a bath, when they were done in the tub my daughter gave me the best gift I could have gotten, she said mama!!!! It made me cry. :D After that he fed her and took her up to bed. We spent the rest of the night watching The Women and having popcorn....what a great day!
